History – Architecture
Within one hours drive there are many Historic and Medieval sites, the area is also steeped in WW2 history with the DDay Beaches within easy reach, The American Cemetry near Saint James 30min drive, it commemorates the 4410 Soldiers resting here. Picturesque towns including Domfront, Fourgeres, Dinan, Vitre and St Malo are to name but a few. The abundance of Architecture around including Chateau`s and many Churches, The Mont St Michel is only a 45mins drive, also a worthy visit is a Basilica which is 20 mins drive away to the village of Pontmain ,one not to be missed is The Chateau De Carrouges which was built in the 14th Century an hour away it is constructed of Brick, Granite and Slate and it is at this Chateau what we would describe as the epitome of Brickwork, to be found in the grand monumental staircase with its Brickwork vaulting with round headed arches.
Music -Singing
If singing is your passion then come and sing in the Church with its Barrel Vaulted Ceiling , which adds to the wonderful acoustics, the Church is open daily…….. come and sing your heart out and enjoy There are various music venues for playing in the area and regular Open Mic Nights, a warm welcome awaits so come and participate…. email for more details.
